Guruprabha – The Arts Wing of the Mission

Guruprabha is the cultural and arts wing of the Mission, continuing a legacy of artistic expression that began in 1979. Over the years, the Mission has produced numerous cultural events, short plays and full-length dramas.

On 1st March 2014, the arts group was formally established under the name “GURUPRABHA”.  This was officially inaugurated with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony by respected actors in the London Malayali community — Mrs. Sulochana Sreedharan, Mr. Muralidharan Vidhyadharan, and Mission President Mr. Sasikumar.

An official theme song written and composed by renowned music director Mr. Pranavam Madhu was introduced. The launch event, held at the Mission, featured the staging of “Guruvandhanam”, a short play directed by Mr. Sasi S. Kulamada, and a musical skit titled “Gurusthuthi”, directed by Mr. Satheesh Kumar.
