The Guru

Sree Narayana Guru was born in 1854 in Kerala India and became a great Saint, Philosopher and Social reformer.

The Sree Narayana Guru Mission of the UK

The Sree Narayana Guru Mission of the UK was established in October 1978 and registered as a charity in 1980.

Our Prime Objective

    1. “TO ADVANCE SREE NARAYANA DHARMA (The promotion of religious and racial harmony, equality and diversity).”
  • Propagation of Guru’s principle and teachings to further advance religious and racial harmony through seminars and publications, including utilisation of electronic medium.
  • Advancement of equality and diversity through membership eligibility to all sections of the community without distinction of race, creed, religion, class, or any other grouping.

The Mission’s activities

  1. Worship and prayer-meditation as directed by the Guru
  2. Run study groups and study sessions on Guru’s teachings
  3. Contact and share with people and organisations in all parts of the world for the propagation of the teachings of SREE NARAYANA GURU
  4. Publicise books, leaflets or other documents related to Guru’s teachings
  5. Holding of exhibitions, meetings, lectures and classes or any other activity or occasion which the Executive Committee considers suitable
  6. Assist solemnisation of marriages after they have been duly registered with the authorities of the United Kingdom
  7. Supplementary Education to support the students
  8. Promotion of educational facilities, encourage promote literary and artistic talents
  9. Co-ordinate and or organise charitable activity or activities which are directed to relieve poverty
  10. Nominate representative(s) to attend or to participate in other organisation(s) involved in similar charitable activities
  11. Women’s Forum activities
